Pastor at Melrose UMC
My name is Kyle Vanover, and I am the pastor at Melrose UMC. I have served as a licensed local pastor in the Kentucky Conference of the United Methodist Church since 2010, and I was appointed to serve Melrose UMC in February 2017. I received a Bachelor’s degree from Asbury University in 2003, and I am currently enrolled in Course of Study classes at United Theological Seminary.
When I am not at the church, I also work at Walk FM, a Christian radio station here in the Tri-State, where I do audio production and host a weekend show. I am thankful to be able to use my skills through radio ministry to encourage people every day in the name of the Lord.
I play the guitar and sing, and I enjoy classic TV shows and Kentucky basketball. I have been legally blind since birth, and one of my favorite verses from the Bible is John 9:3, where Jesus says, “This man was born blind so that God’s works might be revealed in him.”
I have been married to my amazing wife, Amber, since May 28, 2005. Our son, Eli, was born on March 23, 2018. We have two cats, named Bruce and Wayne. Amber is a stay-at-home mom, and she is the best wife and mother I could have asked for!
Welcome to Melrose UMC, and I hope to see you at worship soon!
