All Saints Day

Preacher:
Passage: Hebrews 11:29 - 12:2

The name "halloween" actually comes from the specifically Christian celebration of All Saints Day, sometimes called All Hallows Day. This day on the Christian calendar reminds us of our connection to all Christians past, present, and future. There is work God has for us to do that requires all of Christ's body cooperatively to do it. We will sometimes reap where others have sown, and we are sometimes called to sow where others will someday reap. This is right and good--a sign that we are truly the One Body of Christ.
