After Jesus's resurrection, he appears to Mary Magdalene at a gravesite and to two of his disciples as they are walking the road to Emmaus. But these followers of Jesus are all disoriented, and they don't recognize him. Jesus then reorients them, showing how we, too, can be reoriented by Jesus during those times in life when loss, confusion, and uncertainty threatens to disorient us.
