In the Parable of the Prodigal Son, the younger son tries to separate himself from his father and from his family network.  He separates himself through physical distance and through foolish, wild behavior that neglects the duties of a true son. Yet, upon his return he discovers a truth far better than he dared hope for: he can do nothing to lose his status as 'son'.  Download audio here:  2021 09 26
