Good Shepherd series – Mark 6
Mark 6 offers four well-known stories we probably learned in Sunday School as children: (1) Jesus sending out the disciples 2-by-2; (2) the killing of John the Baptist; (3) Jesus feeding the multitude from 5 loaves and 2 fishes; and (4) Jesus walking on water and calming the winds. On the surface, these are 4 great stories. But there are also connections between the stories on deeper levels, pointing us to the theme of Jesus as the Good Shepherd.
